Cookie policy

EduCare, LLC uses cookies and similar technologies on educarecomplete.com to operate our continuing education website, protect accounts and payments, understand website use, and measure advertising. This policy explains those technologies and your choices. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Similar technologies include browser storage, pixels, and scripts that send information when a page loads or an action occurs. Some cookies are set on our domain by a service provider. Others are associated with the provider's domain.

These technologies can process page addresses, referring pages, browser and device details, IP addresses, and browser or session identifiers. Identifiers and browsing information can be personal information even when they do not contain your name. Session cookies generally last for a browsing session. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or are deleted, subject to your browser's limits.

2. Services used on our website

LearnWorlds and site security. LearnWorlds hosts our website and learning platform. Platform cookies support sessions, account access, and your cookie preferences. Cloudflare provides security and traffic controls. Google reCAPTCHA loads on public pages to help deter automated abuse. Security services receive technical information for their functions. Cookie choices are separate from the learning, purchase, and continuing education records maintained to provide our services.

Stripe. Stripe processes payments. Stripe.js also loads on public pages, including before you choose optional cookies, and sets identifiers used to assess transaction risk and prevent fraud. See Stripe's privacy information.

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits and website activity. It processes page and referrer information, browser and device details, and measurement identifiers. Analytics cookie storage is controlled through the Analytics category. Google Analytics is an optional measurement service, separate from the platform functions needed to deliver a course. Google can still receive requests when cookie storage is declined, as explained below.

PostHog. We use PostHog for website analytics through its US Cloud service. Its website code runs for visitors and signed-in learners and starts only when Analytics cookies are accepted. When you are signed in, PostHog links your site activity to your account email address, and the PostHog identifier stored in your browser is that email address. Our current setup collects pageviews, page departures, website performance metrics, and heatmap information about clicks, pointer movement, and scrolling. It can process page addresses, referrers, browser and device information, IP addresses, and browser or session identifiers. Our project is not configured to discard client IP data. The installed code disables session recording, general automatic interaction capture, and surveys. Heatmap collection remains enabled. PostHog data is hosted in the United States. PostHog also receives records that do not come from your browser and are not affected by cookie choices. When you make a purchase, Stripe sends our PostHog project the purchase details (email address, items purchased, amount, and payment reference numbers, never card details). When you join one of our email lists, MailerLite sends your email address, name, and the list you joined. We use these records to measure which pages and campaigns lead to signups and enrollments.

Google Ads and Meta Pixel. We use Google Ads and Meta Pixel for advertising measurement and remarketing. These services process pageviews and configured website actions, together with technical and advertising identifiers, to help measure advertisements and reach website visitors through Google and Meta services. Marketing cookie storage is controlled through the Marketing category. Meta Pixel loads when Marketing is accepted. Google tags can still send requests when cookie storage is declined. Depending on the service and configuration, providers may associate these signals with other information they hold. See Google's privacy policy and Meta's privacy policy.

Google requests when cookies are declined. Our Google tags load before a cookie choice. With consent set to denied, Google still receives measurement or consent requests without analytics or advertising cookie storage. These requests can include page addresses, consent status, referrer and browser information. Choosing “Reject all” therefore does not mean that no information is transmitted to Google.

MailerLite and email preferences. Our LearnWorlds integration with MailerLite synchronizes registered users and submitted leads into email groups. It is also configured to add groups or tags based on course and purchase activity. This integration is separate from website cookie choices. Use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email to change your email subscription. You can contact us about your contact information or activity records. We do not list MailerLite website cookies below because no MailerLite website tracking script was identified on the public pages reviewed for this policy.

3. Cookie information

The following cookies were observed on educarecomplete.com during our October 11, 2026 review. The lifetimes describe the expiration shown in the review browser, rather than a guarantee that every browser uses the same period. Some expiration periods are refreshed when a cookie is used. This table covers the cookies identified in the reviewed public workflows. Other pages, course features, embedded content, provider domains, or browser settings may involve different cookies.

The consent manager also offers a Functional category for optional preferences. No specific functional-cookie name was identified in the sampled public workflows. A service's security or payment purpose does not mean every technology it uses is necessary in every context.

4. Your choices on each browser and device

On your first visit, the banner offers “Reject all” and “accept individual cookies.” Individual choices include Functional, Analytics, and Marketing. Necessary platform and security functions are handled separately. When choosing individual categories, select your preferences and use the banner's “Got it!” button to save them. Continued browsing is not treated as consent to optional cookies.

After a choice, use the persistent “Cookie preferences” button in the corner of the website to reopen the controls. Registered users can also review privacy options in their account. Cookie choices generally apply to the browser and device in which they are made. Clearing cookies, using another browser, or changing devices may require a new choice.

You can change your category choices at any time. After withdrawing Analytics or Marketing, reload the page or navigate to another page so that the new choice applies to newly loaded scripts. An already-loaded script may have queued information before you changed your choice. Google may continue to send the requests described above even when optional cookie storage is denied.

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may affect account, security, or payment functions. Declining optional categories does not itself cancel a course enrollment or request deletion of your continuing education records. Existing cookies may remain after you change a preference until they expire or you delete them. Changing cookie choices does not automatically delete information already received by a provider.

5. California privacy choices and browser signals

Disclosures to advertising providers can constitute “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. We do not describe advertising identifiers or analytics data as universally anonymous or make a blanket claim that no information is shared. You can decline Marketing through Cookie preferences. Applicable statutory rights depend on the law and EduCare's circumstances.

Global Privacy Control (GPC) and the older “Do Not Track” browser signal are different mechanisms. Automatic handling of these signals has not been verified across our website and integrations. We therefore do not represent that enabling either signal automatically disables all tracking on this website. Please use Cookie preferences to set your categories, and contact us for an opt-out request. This statement does not limit rights or signal requirements that apply under law.

Contact admin@educarecomplete.com about privacy choices or applicable access, correction, deletion, or opt-out requests. We may need information to locate relevant records or verify a request where appropriate. We will handle requests under the requirements and exceptions of applicable law.

6. Retention and international processing

Cookie expiration and retention of information sent to a provider are separate. Deleting a browser cookie does not delete previously collected website events, transaction information, or course records. The browser lifetimes above should not be read as the retention periods for data held by EduCare or its providers. Contact us for information about retention of a particular record or service.

PostHog's project is hosted in the United States. Other providers may process information outside your state or country. Their privacy information describes their processing practices. Privacy and consent requirements vary by jurisdiction, and applicable legal requirements govern where they apply.
